I've been credited for things and uncredited for things, and unless it makes a difference in compensation I don't care about it much anymore. If I did something really spectacular, in that case I'd definitely want credit. But for the ordinary stuff I do it's fine to just pay me.
Yeah that’s fair, payment is ultimately more important than everything else.
When I was still a teenager, I wanted to be appreciated for everything I did at my job. I had a manager tell me "your paycheck is your appreciation" and it stuck with me. The paycheck is the credit, the accolades, the kudos. It would be nice if we got more than that, but at the end of the day, we are here for money.
I guess so but it’s still nice to get some congratulations every now and again!
Yes it’s always good to get credited once in a while, your work should be doing that if you’re working hard- otherwise it’s not a great environment to work in.
Yeah you want to get credits on things you thought you did a good job on! It also seems more important for freelancers than everyone else.
If you mean an actual credit on work, I'm not too bothered, I have all my work in my portfolio and people know what I do. Now and then it could be nice but if it doesn't get me further in my role.
But recieving credit or accomplishment, yes you should get that and tell people when they do a good job, it keeps people happy and people don't have to worry about making mistakes.
Yeah that’s fair it’s good to specify, it’s always nice to get a thank you or good job.
It depends no what it is. If it is a project I worked long and hard on and someone else takes credit, I am likely going to be upset. However there have been smaller things I didn't care about as much when someone else took credit.
I didn’t even think about someone else taking credit! Can’t believe people do that.
