Does anyone have advice on applying to positions across the country? Currently looking local and in Florida but nothing seems to be grabbing traffic in Florida. Locally I am getting a few more interviews but I am not sure. If I stay local, I will be here for at least 5 more years. Is it worth waiting another month or two for a job that might happen in Florida or take something more local?

No idea what would make it worth it or not to you

I have a set salary range and job that would make it worth while. My issue is that I can't find one of those jobs right now and I am trying to figure out if I should wait for a month or two to see if a job like that pops up or just get a local job and try this again in a few years

From my experience it is genuinely extremely hard to get a job out of state because they want someone who can actually start asap and not deal with peoples moving schedules, plus people usually ask for help relocating. Even if I was like I will literally pack my shit and be there tomorrow I still got passed over even after 3 rounds of interviewing because there was probably someone they liked just as much but didn’t have to move. If you really want to be in Florida I’d work on saving enough that you can be there for a few months while you interview

You have to change address on your resume?

I don't. I just tell them I am willing to relocate and can do so within 3 weeks

I live in Florida and no one responds . Good luck

Anyone here made the move from a boutique ECVC firm to in house at a VC? My Y1/Y2 background was V20 ECVC hard hitting firm in the Bay, and now I’m at a large boutique with a strong rep in this field in So Cal. I don’t want to make partner, so I’m exploring what options there may be to go in house with an ECVC background. Any insight on responsibilities, W/L balance, leadership, etc in these in house roles?

FWIW, I’m a JD/MBA with a background in finance.

I'm a Sales recruiter currently recruiting telecom and UCaaS and am trying to get a salary and OTE range for people who sell Cyber Security solutions related to Overlay. If anyone can provide me with some insight I'd be very appreciative. If you don't want to comment directly, feel free to DM me.

I just want to say to the recruiters at this company, who insinuate that a potential candidate has the opportunity to become hire, only to call them by phone and say “we didn’t “ pick you is unprofessional and tasteless. Remember you were once a candidate and one day may have to be a candidate again. Getting somewhat of an understanding how the culture is from the interview, I am glad that first I have a job and that I didn’t get picked.

Hi everyone, I'm comparing two offers from Accenture and Cognizant. Could you help me figure out some of these questions: 1. At 5 YOE, what kind of package can I expect? Current offers: Accenture (12LPA fixed, 2.5L variable), Cognizant (14.3LPA fixed, 45K variable) 2. Nature of work - What kind of work can I expect from these companies? 3. would I get the opp to use any authoring Tools? 4. Work life balance - which is better? 5. Increments - avg % hike? 6. Culture - which is better?
