Hi All, My sister has done Computer Science engineering Bachelor degree and has 5 years of work experience in India. She is applying for MBA at https://www.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/programs/mba/full-time-mba/ and https://kelley.iu.edu/programs/full-time-mba/academics/majors-minors/marketing.html. Her overall goal is to get into Software Product management. Any suggestions if any of these MBA’s can open path in the desired space or if she is better of doing an MS in Comp engg. to further develop deeper Technology skills. Thanks

Program Manager L3 salary in HCOL?
Anyone from Leidos? Anyone? ...... *crickets*
I have some doubt regarding pf contribution... Say for example.. 12% of my base salary is 600 which gets deducted from my salary.. on the flip side.. the company has to contribute 600 to my pf (which is actually deducted from my salary only like already part of CTC)?. So my question again is that.. the company contributes 600 as well? PwC

I’ve transitioned from bed side to utilization management and love it!!
I was tired of bedside and started googling other jobs honestly
I do. My advice is to find a role with scheduling of some sort like for an ambulatory surgical center. Gain some skill there and move that experience to one of the larger insurance companies. There are endless possibilities in UR. I have transitioned to bring a UM Consultant and I make well over $100k with a two year degree as an RN!!
Thank you. I will look in to that avenue.
If you’re going from a bedside nurse to being a utilization nurse it’s very different. You will not be interacting with patients or families which will be nice change of pace for a while but it might be boring just looking over charts every day all day. The positive is you will not be working weekends or holidays probably. The negative is Monday through Friday
Honestly, after nearly 30 years of bedside nursing and working nights/weekends/holidays …boring sounds good!
It's a lot to learn so that may be why they don't cross train. I transitioned and once I knew what I was doing I love it. After 24+ years of nursing, boring was fine. There are lots of UR jobs. A lot of them are remote. Those are some big perks.
I already worked for the health system and just applied when they had an opening. I still work for the same hospital. I think that is a much easier transition than going straight into a position with an insurance company or something. I actually went into Case Management and at the time the CM's did both UR and discharge planning. Then they split them up and I went with UR.
