Hi! I have a very demanding role as a comms director, but still make time to volunteer on the side for some women's organizations I am proud to support. Lately though, the work has been piling up and it's almost as if I have two full-time gigs. I've brought this up as graciously as possible with the orgs, but sometimes I feel I'm being guilted into taking on more work. Best etiquette in this situation? I have been working with Walmart for the past 14 months and have recently got an offer from Blackrock for 45 LPA.
Considering the recession and US market scenario, help me understand if it will be a good move to join BlackRock OR should I continue with Walmart with the current compensation.

I initially took the loan to add to my home equity when I sell my house for a new house then covid hit.

A week or so ago, someone shared a stacked bar chart of each MBB/Big 4 firm that highlighted the percentage of consultants that say they work 40, 50, 60 hours etc a week at each firm. So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. I have a whole bunch of certifications in my industry…but just no formal degree. (cont'd)
