Does anyone know if compliance at Blackstone etc. has a good work life balance? Tired of getting emails on Fridays that ruin my weekend

We’re local counsel on a Blackstone deal right now and I get about 600 emails from them every weekend, so I would imagine actually working for them would not necessarily be ideal for work-life balance

like

Both. Not sure if that is SOP or if it’s due to the nature of this particular deal (multi-state, several hundred properties, lots of moving parts)

I know nothing about the compliance function at Blackstone specifically, but from what I’ve heard the culture is pretty bad and long hours / weekend work are expected

like

I can’t comment on Blackstone specifically, but I worked in compliance prior to biglaw and you generally have a much better work life balance.
