Does anyone know of a website or resource where I can browse firms by practice area within a specific geographic region? I may be relocating in about a year, and I’d like to get a sense of what other opportunities might be available. Looking through individual firm websites one at a time feels a bit overwhelming, so I was hoping there might be a more efficient way to research options.

Chambers used to have firm rankings by city. If I was doing this I’d create a Claude Project on the topic and have Claude browse the web and then report out to you.

Just tell Claude to make absolutely no mistakes and you should have your bases covered

Just speak with a recruiter familiar with that market

Firm Prospects has a practice area filter. I don’t remember for sure but I’d think it has a geographic one too.

I’ve only used it a couple times but the last time I did it seemed to have all firms. There were none in my practice area that seemed to be missing even though only had a couple openings listed in my practice area.

I had my Assessor interview this past week and received a pre-screening questionnaire that asked about dual citizenship status. Because I don't even have a passport for the country I am a dual citizen for, I didn't even think about the possibile complications this could lead to with my application. I applied through a career fair at school and didn't see the citizenship requirements, so I guess that's on me.

Tips for bankruptcy associates who eventually want to move in-house? 3rd year associate in bankruptcy/restructuring group doing mainly bk lit but a few deals too. I’m have a new theory about why juniors always feel like idiots and wanted to see if anyone else thinks this makes sense. I’m a third year, and am the most junior person all of my teams (generally me, a senior or two, and a partner or two), and I always feel like I’m messing something up. Is this just because I never get to work with other juniors and don’t see the mistakes they make, and that it’s relatively normal? And FWIW I went to HYS and I’ve had a clerkship so it’s not like I’m not smart

I’m in the biglaw hiring process through an outside recruiter. It’s so frustrating because he’s having these conversations with the firm and only paraphrasing the gist of them to me. He says he can’t forward the exact emails. Is that BS? Why can’t I see what the firm is telling my recruiter?
