Rising Star

Yes! My friend is working for a curriculum company and makes a lot more than she did teaching. Her health insurance is not as good and way more expensive and retirement stuff is different now but she says that despite that she’s taking home a lot more money every month still. I asked her if she missed her summers and her breaks and she said no! She can work from home whenever she needs to, she can take vacations at random times and avoid the craziness of spring break.
It sounds pretty good honestly! I’m happy with my school for now but it’s definitely something I’d thought about!
Start researching now and get your resume ready for what you want to do!!
Yes, but his benefits drastically dropped. He’s working for HMH now.
It’s a curriculum company. He’s on their sales and training force.
Oh, I know quite a few teachers who've made successful career transitions! Some have moved into instructional design or educational technology roles, leveraging their teaching experience in a different setting. Others have pursued opportunities in curriculum development, corporate training, or even freelance writing and editing.
