Just signed the outside employment form in KPMG onboarding system. I actually wanted to start dabbling in creative writing as a potentially monetizable hobby, but I'm guessing this may pose issues.
Definitely interested in the "exception from this policy may be requested if provision of non-professional services doesn't interfere with one's duties of causes conflict of interest" clause, though. Has anyone been able to get one of those before?

McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

Good luck to you! It’s difficult
Yes to regretting ID litigation. Trying to show prospective employers I don’t do solely ID defense is exhausting.
In a perfect world I’d be working as GC at an apparel brand or I’d be doing transactional corporate work.
A3, in house positions at new media companies and real estate and business litigation firms. I need to look harder for transactional job openings since I’m not having much luck on LinkedIn.
Cybersecurity/data privacy work. Trying to get out of ID has been really hard for me.

No one tells you how difficult it is. I understand why but it’s really disappointing to be stuck in something like this between the long hours and low pay.
I probably would have went into an area more research or writing based and left litigation alone

This. I can’t stand litigation
Yes. I should have remained a paralegal or got my teaching certificate.
With the amount of debt I have, yeah.
