Does it upset anyone else that we've created a culture where we cater to the highest sensitivity, enact laws that infringe on explicit civil rights, overtly assign blame to others, and dreams are shattered by the actions of others?
Sounds like a lot of "me" "me" "me". Step up... I'm empowering others and creating change daily, but I don't need to brag and give you a laundry list of what I do. I just do.

Who the heck are you? I built the charity at my church and deliver food to parishes all over Long Island twice a month, am an Eagle Scout, and I support the local charity of ALS since my father died of the disease. So don't come after me you condescending whiner. Suffice to say, your opening remarks are ridiculous. These bad things are NOT the norm, but are highly publicized outliers in a generally decent society. The fact you feel victim and can't stand up and get what you're worth shows how weak you truly are. Man up and fight like I have.

Very interesting and argumentative reply, D1. Look yourself in the mirror - who have you hurt this week? Who have you made to feel 'less than'? How have your actions supported others, and have you done enough? And I just looked through 50 posts at quick scan, nothing similar ... but 6 posts about salary - I don't see your comments there? Did I miss them?

Have you ever heard of "life ain't fair"? Bullying hasn't changed -kids will always be bullied, that's just human nature. It's called getting tough skin. Violence doesn't always end in gun shots, rape IS prosecuted. No one owes you your dreams coming true. Life ain't fair, I don't understand where you get this idea that all of those things are suddenly happening out of nowhere and someone is owed something for an unhappy ending
Relative to just a few years ago we're making some pretty fucking serious progress on these fronts. Violent crime is at historic lows, gender equality is the best it's ever been, rape... is prosecuted? Not sure what you're getting at there. How about you focus on what we've accomplished and what we have left to improve as a society instead of wallowing in despair?
