Need some advice here. I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Microsoft Google Adobe PwC EY Citi Barclays JPMorgan Chase

No massage discount, no thanks! That’s always been my initial screening criteria when assessing employers
Is that really going to be a determining factor for you?
We have a free 15 min massage twice a month at the office. Just sign up the week before. Note that few Magnet360 consultants travel, and it's not on a travel day for the rest of us. We also have gym discounts and Beer:30 every Friday...
Lol no
No gym membership or wellness discounts. Wish we did!
$65/month in cell phone, $75 parking (local market dependent I think).
We usually cite local work and no unwanted travel as perks. If you see anything on a sabbatical plan, it’s outdated and was replaced with extra PTO.
I love it here, put I’d be lying if I said perks were a motivator—they could definitely be improved within the market.
Happy to DM for other candid answers if you’d like!
