What’s the culture like at FTI Consulting?
Hi everyone I’m a current grad student at ncstate majoring in mechanical engineering. I’m looking for a summer internship in the following domains - Mechanical engineering intern , Manufacturing intern , material intern and NPI intern. I have a research experience in testing and optimizing material properties and good working knowledge of CAD/CAE software. I am a graduating student who just got offered 65k for a solution analyst role at Deloitte USDC (Data Engineering Focus). From reading previous posts it seems to be a lot of negative thoughts surrounding the USDC, but straight out of college is this a good opportunity?
I'm looking to gain as much experience as possible out of college in an IT role and wondering what exit opportunities may be in place a year or two down the road if there is little/slow progression.
Any Advice?

The pay sounds okay, especially for starting out, but I have to agree about SF being expensive. You're going to lose a lot on the cost of living.
Found this living wage info from MIT that might help you decide. Looks like it is based on 2019 data? Either way, $77k shouuuuuld be enough...but it will be tight. https://livingwage.mit.edu/counties/06075
