Probably not, but they did get a hefty fine (and bad PR) years ago for employees sharing answers on similar trainings in the past. That may have pushed EY to make some statement fires.
Or they just wanted to layoff employees and were looking for reasons to do it. Either seems plausible to me.
Maybe not but EY paid over 100 mllion to the SEC over CPE cheating so you can kinda understand the no tolerance
More than $30k per partner
From a firm who expects you to multitask every minute of every day!! Wow!
What’s the scoop on this headline?
The requirement to earn CPE is to attend the training, listen, and answer the questions. Under no circumstances can a person adequately listen to two trainings at the same time. It’s obviously cheating in the sense that the person is claiming CPE that they didn’t meet the requirements for. And it’s even worse if they have their license because it also violates the terms of their licensure.
This isn’t even a grey area.
There’s plenty to complain about firms having too many requirements and not allowing enough time, too much pressures, etc. - I can go on and on. But at the end of the day, cheating the system isn’t the appropriate response.
Rising Star
Completing more than one cpe course simultaneously
They were watching two trainings at once in order to speed through the training requirements
Not questioning ethics here, but is that worth being terminated?
Yikes
Did this also apply to the self paced learning videos? Or was this just because of live sessions
