I was born in 1970. Grandparents were born in +/- 1918. Yet here I am happily single and no plans for a family fwiw.

Graduated from HS in 1970…yeah, I’m old

This post hit me hard 😒

And me as well!

1969 and happily single M lol

Nope, sorry

It is a noteworthy realization for sure

I know well those numbers because I was born in 1970 and my dad was born in 1919.

We’re over 50 and life is great :)

Anyone here willing to give me a referral for a claims position, or even refer me to some jobs that you recommend. A remote position, preferably not a call center, I really love insurance and actually want to process or investigate to handle claims. I am a fully licensed producer (PA) and also have my Florida adjusters license. My current role is Complex Claims Specialist at StateFarm. Thoughts on negotiating out once/month travel to the HQ for meetings? I am interviewing for a great job but they mentioned going from Charlotte to DC once per month for meetings, which I think could be done virtually. Thoughts or strategies for negotiating this out of my contract?

In your honest opinions, when do YOU actually take a creator seriously/ have respect for a creator? (can be an influencer/ UGC creator/ Tiktoker/ Youtuber/ Twitcher etc.)

Is it by the amount of followers, engagement rate, their professionalism from onboarding to off boarding, our personal opinion of their content, or?

I’m keen to know what is it that you do (if you’re in marketing/ social media or corporate) and your thoughts.

Thank you! :)

Any good books or suggestions to improve communication skills to speak confidently with executive or leadership. Many times I end up blabbering and having unstructured discussion.

How do you handle mom guilt? I feel like my 1 year old spends more time with a babysitter than he does me and whenever I'm off work I feel like I should spend every possible mintue with him. I don't feel like I can go anywhere with friends or family because those are precious moments I could be spending with my him. When I do convince myself that it may do me some good to do something fun all I think about is him and how I should be spending time with him.

Hi all, I am currently working for Amazon Prime Video for almost 3 years. It would be a great help if someone could refer me to any relevant roles in Netflix.

Yesterday my younger brother called me looking for good hidden swimming spots in the mountains. He was up there with a bunch of friends and their original plans had fallen apart hard. And I go much more often than he does.

I told him I had map pins that are EXACTLY what you need for these hard to find places. I can send them in 10 mins when I get home.

Reply? Forget it, I'm all set.

Yep, 10 mins is too long. Here I was expecting "Wow! That's fantastic!" How silly of me.

Does anybody have any experience getting a Grandpad or Jitterbug (or similar) for an elderly relative who is not local to you? My Dad is reluctant to carry a cell phone and never uses the flip phone I got him 10 years ago but maybe if it was more basic /easier to use he would (?) I told him if he goes out walking he should be carrying one. He has a history of falling a few times a year and I want him to be able to call 911 if he needs to. I’m a plane ride away. He lives by himself. He refuses

My observation is that it is hard for consulting partners to land the quality public or private board roles everyone naturally targets. Despite there being a significant amount of exceptional talent that could be deployed, there is a big bias against consultants. Everyone wants “operators,” but I feel every board could also benefit from one current or former consulting partner. But sadly, that’s not the way the external world looks at things...
