Take that offer 2 and enjoy
One thing to consider - given the second role is sales, I’m guessing that 30% bonus (and maybe even RSU awards) might have more quota contingencies than option 1. Don’t just go in assuming you’ll hit those without first understanding likelihood, etc.
100% agree

Stop chasing titles and you will be better off. Because on face of it, it is nonsensical to give up on a potential of ~70 k more
Director or VP doing what ? What are the next roles for each offer ? What is the comp growth for each title. I know VPs at visa who make 100 K lower than a TPM at Amazon.
Both would lead to a director role, Visa being more strategy and Adyen a bit more sales related. I think comp growth is similar but Adyen has way better bonuses and stock option
Offer 2- Adyen is a fintech and is doing some cool things in payment tech
Wild comparison. These roles are so drastically different from one another in terms of the actual work. This is not a decision you make based on comp
Definitely easier to go from corp strat to sales. Sales to corp strat sounds near impossible. But still… might be worth doing some thinking about what you actually want in a job because account management vs corp strat are on opposite ends of the spectrum from one another in terms of day to day work
Visa pay seems really low for a manager in CS. Quite surprised.
Manager at Visa is for people with 4-6 years of experience. Director roles typically involve actual people management and pay around $200 base
The one that isn’t Visa.
V1 - Unable to DM you; could you please send me a DM?
OP - Can we connect?
I’ve been trying to get into Visa, Adyen, and similar firms. I had an interview with Visa but didn’t receive an offer. I tried sending you a DM, but it says the user is not available for a chat. Could you send me a DM? Your insights would be incredibly helpful.
TIA :)
Happy to connect I’ll send a DM!
Visa recently laid off 10-15% of its workforce, so I would approach with caution.
I’d take Visa and use it to pivot to a big bank in 2-3 years.
Can I ask how many YOE you have and what your current title is? Trying to understand how long I need to be at EY until I can get offers like that. TIA!!
4 YOE ! Second year consultant not pursuing school

AM roles aren't always THAT strategic or sales based. A lot of AMs basically become project managers for implementing the product. If you want to be more techy aligned, adyen. More finance aligned, visa
Should also add even if that's the case agree with other you probably still have quotas
Forget titles and look at the scope and scale of the role, and what you will get paid for that.
Case in point, Amazon. My title is Sr Mgr. my comp range is 400 - 525 per year depending on my annual performance review. My comp based only on title would be significantly lower.
Sorry for the typo. Director led orgs as large as 1,200 people
