I'm into Salesforce with 6.2yrs of experience working as a Sr. Developer having the current CTC as 14lpa. And got an offer from Mindtree for the same Sr. Developer position(C3- Module Lead), as Lead position requires minimum 7yrs of experience. They offered me a package of 19.2lpa. Is this worthy? Please suggest how much can I expect from them? Also how is the hike cycle in Mindtree ? Mindtree

Well some of that is silly advice (e.g. don't finish 1 year). There is a lot to be said for demonstrating your worth and building a network. There is almost no other job that allows you to create a huge network of people in a geographic area as PA. Also, my title on here hasn't been updated. I have my CPA license and am a newlyish minted senior. What's hard is getting interviews without a network when you look to transition outside of PA. My curiosity is more geared toward what positions do you get hit up for on LinkedIn etc (if didn't than the ones listed)?
None of those lol
Why would you stay until senior then
Cuz I drank the kool aid. I want to transition into something else and thought this stuff as a baseline would help.
If you want to go into something like engineering or computer science, I agree. If you’re trying to move into finance, corp dev, or something even tangentially connected to accounting, I’d stick around until senior. At the very least, don’t leave before you finish a full year–you may be viewed as someone who either doesn’t see things through or not cut out to take the heat in demanding jobs.
Not your only options, but definitely options you're qualified for. Do you have any idea what you wanna do?
It's better to get out earlier
I’d stick around until senior unless you’re going entry level somewhere else. Developing the skillset of managing teams after just a couple years really doesn’t happen in many other jobs, and is valuable to future potential employers. But yeah after a year of senior you’re good to go.
That's why you need to get out and get an entry level job in a field you're interested in. You're going to be starting over when you inevitably leave for said field, and it's better to start before you waste 1-2-3+ years in public accounting
No.. do not finish 1 year. Like I said you're going to be starting at 0 in your new job. Would you rather start at 0 now or start at 0 in one year? I'm 2 years in looking for jobs in finance and they're either entry level or 3-5 years experience. Get out now if you don't want to stay 3-5 years.
Yeah sorry I meant don't wait another year
