Do I accept a job position in an area that I’m unsure if I like because I haven’t really practiced in it as much but the pay is really good? Or do I stay in a job position that allows me to work in the area that I think I’m interested in staying in long term but the pay is much lower? For reference I am a third year.

I work with great people. Really can’t say anything bad about my firm in general either. But…I still dislike the entire premise of law firm life, the billable hour, etc.. I’d love to work in a law school setting as a counselor or something but I can’t afford the pay cut. *sigh* Does anyone feel like being a lawyer is just doing homework all day? Looking for advice on defending depositions. I am a first year associate and am defending my first deposition next week. I reviewed the prior transcripts from this case, and there were objections to what seemed like proper questions. Is there a strategic reason to object beyond improper form? For example, if my client is asked something that could be harmful (or at least make us look bad), should I just object? Very worried this transcript will be ex. A to pltfs’ MSJ because I didn’t object 😅

How do those of you that struggle w/depression handle working at home? Going in to the office gives me a reason to get out of bed in the morning but I’m struggling today due to offices closed (snow)

I’ve had a nagging headache the last few weeks but not bad enough to take OTC meds. The last four days or so it has gotten worse and I’m now taking Aleve or IB Profen which haven’t helped much. I have a history of ocular migraines and ice pick headaches. Getting concerned that it’s not going away and wondering if I should go to the doctor or do I keep waiting it out?

At the donor egg phase and just not dealing with it well. Having all kinds of regrets if I tried hard enough. Maybe should have ate better, tried all these different things. Did I do IVF too quickly? Some say IVF makes your eggs worse. Is this true???
