Good morning. I am currently a senior associate in BugLaw, and I have applied to several trial attorney jobs in Chicago offices of federal agencies since the start of the pandemic. According to usajobs.gov, my applications to the DOJ and CFTC were “referred,” and my application to the SEC was received and my GS scale verified. But I haven’t received any updates on these applications in over a month. Does anyone here have any insights on these or on federal hiring generally? Thanks!

Deloitte OP. Sorry to hear I went through the same thing but the culture really is great. The recruiters are not unfortunately. Please let me know what I can do drop a burner or something. I am an SM in PAS and would gladly take this up the chain as an example of where we need to do better. #notatroll
Haha I just went through it and had the same experience! Random emails, no replies, and abrupt calls.
Best experience I’ve had has been with 2 firms: BCG and KPMG. Rockstar HR teams
I’m thinking about giving a thanks but no thanks just bc of this. I’m not even sure that their human capital consulting is even strong. I’m not unhappy enough to take this risk.
They are very change management focused whereas the other B4 have broader and deeper expertise in other HC functions. I suggest taking a look at either a boutique firm or other B4
Same here. Recruiter wasn’t very proactive. I got an email the day before my interview telling me what to expect
went through interview in the DD&A group earlier this year and had a real solid experience. Unfortunately it must very drastically group to group. Definitely take up EY1 on sharing a burner.
Had an excellent recruiting experience straight from college. Are you an experienced hire?
my campus recruiting experience 3 years ago was stellar with EY. but i heard horror stories about exp. hired. sorry OP :(
