Why are people asking riddles at interviews?
As I cranked up my favorite song of all time this morning, Bob Seger’s ‘Turn the Page’, I realized that while he wrote it about life on the road for musicians, it can easily be adapted to Consultants. So cheers to all of you out there on the stage, taking every ounce of energy and trying to give it all away - you are killing it rockstars! https://youtu.be/3khH9ih2XJg

LEK isn't as bad as people make it out to be. In fact, it's only marginally worse than a 9 to 5. Most days, I don't arrive at the office until 10 or 11. The day is a sprint with lots of calls and redirects, but by 6 things are usually more chill and I'm able to commute home (free Uber) and eat dinner (free Doordash). That means no dishes. I have friends who work 9 to 5 and guess what? They need to be in the office by 9:00 sharp. After work, they need to cook... do dishes... cleanup. Before you know it, it's like 9pm. It's crazy. For me, 7:30 to 10 I'll take a first pass at slides, 10 to 11 there might be downtime, and then 11 to 12 I'll knock out comments. The dismissal thing also isn't real. We work as a team so it's wise to have your phone on you, but you don't need permission to log off. No reason you can't shower, workout, etc. If it's like 12:30 and you haven't been pinged in 30+ minutes, you're pretty much good to sleep. Also, before anyone gets too critical, this is just a random example day. Plenty of days where you're wrapped up by 10 or 11. Depending on your sector, it might even be the norm. Also, we have NCCs (non client commitments) which means you can reserve time on your calendar for personal stuff, like if you want to go for a friend's b-day dinner or whatever. 9 times out of 10 they will be respected. TBH, the demographics on this app are very skewed. If you're in NYC or Boston, most of your friends are likely pulling similar hours in IB, PE, consulting, or big law. If you ask me, working 65 to 775 hours a week making $120K as a fresh college grad, double that in 3 years and triple that in another 3 is not half bad.
Eating doordashed or ubered food twice on the same week, let alone the same day, sounds incredibly unhealthy

What's the base pay though on that 120
2K more than BCG, don't forget that!
I’m at BCG but I don’t get the LEK hate. I think they’re very reputable. They send a ton of people to VC. And they probably work a lot less than MBB. Well MB I’m not sure what Bain’s doing these days
