Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.

Defense, which dominates our business from a revenue perspective, has the lowest margins in the firm. Profit firmwide is buoyed primarily by the Civil business, which targets at least 12-13% profit on contracts. Most of my projects are above 20% profit. Commercial obviously has much higher margins but the revenue isn’t high enough to be a real driver firmwide.
A little too late on the sale. It should’ve gone with Booz& in 2008 as Booz Allen continues to focus primarily on government work.

Because it was a small fraction of the firm’s headcount and revenue, had almost nothing to do with the rest of the work the firm is doing or its growth strategy, and was not contributing to the rest of the firm’s overall success. All that + the inherent risk of doing business with middle eastern dictators made it a good candidate to be jettisoned so the firm could double-down on its core competencies.
BAH is stepping away from corp. strategy type work and is trying to remodel itself into a consulting-tech company (a high margin business if BAH succeeds)
