In-hand for below offer?

JPMorgan Chase Did a first round interview for a senior level position at JP Morgan.. hiring manager said I should receive a call back within a couple of weeks.. been over a month.. no intimation post that.. the HR in charge of hiring or scheduling haven’t replied to my emails on what comes next and haven’t scheduled anything. So should I consider this as a dead end ? Does this generally happen at JP? Feels weird that I have been ghosted after what I felt was a very good interview.. Was a good fit too.JPMorgan Chase
Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Listen to SC1 - don't fall for "we will promote you in a year" crap
You won't get re promoted in one year, and your raise may be non existent due to band limits
Go forit
Get the offer and negotiate with your current firm. You will not enjoy being a sr after being a mgr
If you're good, your title will be boss in no time.
Where are you now?
That's a really good point @slalom1, in the long run salary may even out.
@SM1 - don't get your question
What firm?
It takes a minimum of two years to make it to Manager at the big four.
I'd still like to know where you are now and why you don't think you can score a lateral move.
At ACN, it's not because I don't think I can score a lateral move, it's more like the firms look at my years of experience and "think I will be more successful at the sr consultant/sr associate level"
@K1 - have you tried negotiating before?
Also when thinking about how long you'll have to endure staff level before making it back to mgr, you have to factor in the rest of this performance year plus the next one. For example at K you wouldn't be promoted until October 2018
@OP yes but I was more junior at the time and at a different firm, leveraged an acn offer ironically.
Was the offer lateral but just with more $$?
Yes
I made the down one into ACN. Actually appreciated being able to perform at level higher, but with lower expectations while I figured out how things worked here. Got promoted at first point where I was eligible... almost 18 months in (didn't plan the promotion cycle very well with my start date.)
