I'm trying to figure out how to pivot out of my current job. My department is in utter chaos, which has just become completely unmanageable. I'm looking for front-end web design work, and work from home. I am a strong designer and basically set up landing pages for large companies on a proprietary CMS in our company. I was in the office (pre-c19) on the Friday after thanksgiving so I could get some stuff done while it was empty. A peer Director was also there and asked me for help with something. I helped him a for while, then he said, “this is really helpful, I have to go to an all team meeting for 30 minutes, but could we finish after that?” Me: “an all team meeting today?” Him: “yeah, I always schedule an all team meeting on days like this so people can’t pretend to wfh when they are really on pto.” smh 🤦‍♂️
