For anyone Senior Manager or higher who is looking to become Partner or anyone who is already a Partner, is there any benefit to being at a PE backed firm if you aren't there for the pay out when the firm is acquired? Seems like the only benefit is that payout. You're just giving away a bunch of equity to non-revenue generating owners, correct? Is there something I am missing?

I’m a new grad working in FDD and I’m trying to decide if becoming a CPA is worth it. I do not plan on staying in accounting in the future. I’m more interested in strategy work.
