I don’t have exact numbers but this is absolutely false. We far prefer interns as it provides an opportunity to properly evaluate and train pre hiring. Best guess is ratio is somewhere between 2:1 and 3:1, intern : full time. Also this year I expect full time to be very competitive given covid and the economy.
No, most are interns but it’s 65/35

For undergrads, no - we get far more from FT round than intern class in most US offices (maybe 2/3-3/4 are FT vs interns depending on the office?). For MBA hires, I’m not quite sure but think it’s more Summer Associate heavy.

If we can we convert 100% of interns so if it was an incredibly good intern recruiting year and numbers were high, the next year we may not hire many FT folks at all. That was the case for 2020 hires actually for most of the south for McK.
Also @D1, wouldn’t stress too much about it. I’ve been told that interns are more competitive, and when you look at the full time recruiting one can imagine that many of the top/best recruits from the previous intern cycle are no longer competing against you for ft

Yes, it is likely slightly easier to get in via an internship.

It really varies by region and the talent of the classes each year. Generally, if you get hired as an intern you really have to mess up not to get a FT offer. Once the summer class offers are given the remaining hiring needs are filled through FT recruiting
