700k tc. 550k base, 150k bonus.

Counsel at my firm are basically super senior associates, so base is still the majority of TC. It’s like 80% base, 20% bonus, but paid out in same year.

My firm has a mandatory 401k contribution that counts toward your salary and comes off the top before holdbacks. After the 401k money is pulled off the top, the holdback is 5% of the remaining salary for counsel and 10% for NEP. Holdbacks are returned in installments contingent on individual billing compliance and firm performance from Sep of the year held to as late as Sep of the following year. Bonuses aren’t implicated by holdbacks.
NEP. I get paid a salary, profit share is deposited in my super 401k thing (I’m lit, I don’t know the exact vehicle). None is held back, I’d be pissed if it was while I’m not equity. I like the structure and have young kids.
NEP here. 15% held back - outside of extreme circumstances, it is usually paid the last day of the fiscal year. There is still bonus opportunity on top of receiving the part held back.
