For those in senior sales or regional management, how much does leadership experience weigh against meeting quotas when pursuing more strategic roles? I’m curious to hear from you if you've had any recent conversations with recruiters and were able to figure out what their priorities are when hiring.

What I see at the senior level is leadership depth and growth over those raw numbers. Keep in mind, priorities may change, but that is the overall picture of what I see.

I don't see that as an either/or situation. What I mean is that leadership qualities and various personal attributes can count for a lot. However, those qualities have to be backed up with something that can be quantified. Ideally, a good leader would also have good numbers under their belt, so the two would work in tandem.

I left my job about a year ago to relocate, make sure it was the right decision and start a side business in the mean time. “Job hopper” and “quiet quitting” are all schemes made up by boomers to make you think everything is the employees fault. When in reality people are just getting out of bad situations. Older companies do whatever they can to pay you the least amount and get the max work out of you. Except our generation will just leave amid we’re being mistreated, not complain for 35 years making 50k and 0 advancement.
