Hi!!
Would anyone be willing to refer me for positions at Syneos Health , IQVIA , Medpace, or similar CRO?
I am currently within the CRO industry in a very well-connected HR role within my organization, and I single-handedly spearhead some of the most innovative HR programs for our entire organization. I am looking for new opportunities for growth :)
Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

There are times where if there’s a mass layoff, your company will cover benefits for X amount of time… though it’s not always the case…
COBRA is usually your best option for comprehensive coverage and continuity of care… though it can be expensive… then ACA or elect no coverage… but in my experience, as an advisor, during a layoff or sudden loss of job, medical expenses increase due to stress, anxiety, depression or the development of bad habits…
But before you get to the laid off point… if there’s something going on personally or professionally, that’s causing performance issues… I’d suggest considering taking a step back… use your resources and consider if going on FMLA/STD, if it’s medically defesable…
I went without healthcare once I was out of coverage. I had about 30 days left when I was laid off on my healthcare plan and then I just didn’t have health insurance until I got a new job. You can try to buy healthcare from the market, but prices are skyrocketing in January.

We really love to screw people in this country don't we? healthcare is such a joke now
I used Cobra for a little bit and then had to get market place coverage until I found a new job. Cobra was expensive though so I wouldn't recommend it if you can help it.

My spouse is being laid off effective 12/31. We just received their paperwork and their company at least has the decency to pay COBRA for all of 2026. I know not many other companies do that, so there’s at least that.

That’s very nice of them. Cobra is pricey!

Will they help even if I have assets?
