Guys, my friend had her last working day last week and she thinks she forgot to fill her timesheet for her last 2 days before handing over the laptop. What can be the consequences of this? She is really worried about this
P.S she belongs to a back end team serving the firm internally charging time on only one code.

Government consulting (state and Local gov’t). It’s not a standard 9-5, but I work remotely and only travel once every other month or so. I log on around 8:30, go to the gym from noon - 1:00, and then log off at 5:00. Sometimes I need to log back on after dinner, but that’s not common.
It took a little while to get to that salary (10 YOE), but I’m happy with my life!
A lot of consulting firms do government consulting! Mostly Federal, so if you’re based in Washington DC that’s a huge advantage. Look into the big four as well as defense contractors like Booz Allen
I have my own consulting firm - me + assistant; make well over $150k.
D4 - not really sure what you mean by what did you do to start your own. For your other questions: I consult on regulatory compliance, and I did work at B4 at one point, but went to another firm for several years in between leaving B4 and starting my own firm. I had 15 years experience and multiple applicable advanced degrees before starting on my own, and I have a very good network, which is key. Be very careful about starting a firm if you're planning to poach a client - it's absolutely going to be against the terms of your employment agreement.
HP1 - Yes, I usually require a retainer in my contracts, and only begin work with a signed contract in hand. For companies that I had a relationship with already, I have begun work before receiving the retainer. Most of my work is hourly with estimates and assumptions given - most clients provide me with incomplete information, which is why I don't guarantee work within the provided estimate, but I am careful to stick to the range provided in billing if none of the assumptions were untrue. I bill monthly whether a project is completed or not, and most do take a few months to complete because of rounds of review/feedback from the client on deliverables.

The worst you can hear is no. Ask anyway.
I make over $200k and manage a small highly skilled team of technical SMEs for the client, It’s a multi vendor team so I have to be on my toes but the hours are typical 9-5.

I used to work at the Quality Learing Center but that opportunity ended, so I moved to California and I do Hospice out of a building with 67 other home hospice companies and 6 figure cars in the parking lot.
