^ That was done due to a verifiable weakness in the vetting process at the time and the delay enabled the US to rebuild the finger print database.

I'm still struggling to see whether this will have any impact. I am vehemently opposed to this EO, but the pessimist in me thinks Trump will do whatever he wants because he views the presidency as a unilateral dictatorship. Not sure how to stop that before more damage is done.
