Former MBB consultant - 8 YOE (5 pre-MBA tech consulting, 3 YOE post). Left after 2 years at MBB to Microsoft Corp Strategy. I am now interviewing for a role within Google for S&O L5 and have an offer call with the recruiter. My current TC is 285K and based on what I have researched in this group the max I can expect for L5 is early 300s. Is this even something I should try to negotiate? For me to move from Seattle to SF, I would certainly need a significant pay bump to even consider. Thank you!

Northrop offers me 92k w/ 3k sign on which is 30 min from home in MD for an associate systems role. I recently interviewed with Natwest and I got confirmation that they wanted to offer a role. Salary negotiations were started. However, now I got an email from the hiring manager that hiring for my role has been paused due to the ongoing cost of living crisis. He expects to resume the hiring for the role in Q1 '23 and would resume the process then. So is it the end? Honestly, I don't expect him to come back. But what do you think?
