I need help with my interviewing skills
How to tackle gap periods in IT interviews?
I'm looking to find a job like the Forward Deployed Engineer role Palantir Technologies in the UK.
I have become hooked on finding a job that involves solving the kinds of problems they presented during their interviews. Although I got to the final round my performance anxiety got the better of me (I think I wanted the job a bit too much...). I will reapply after working in a similar company.
Is it "deep tech" / "data science" or "smart enterprise" that they're doing? Any advice welcome.

Bain & Company Is it truly easier to get in a smaller MBB office?
Have heard a lot for different opinions on these. The logic is that it’s easier because there is a lot of supply in cities like NY, Chicago and SF, but the counter argument is that the offices with less supply are also way smaller and have a lot less demand.

Your friend shouldn’t rely on that person for a referral. But they’re not going to get blacklisted from applying or interviewing over that.
McK1 advice is excellent. Your friend should apply at the right time for the role they’re seeking (see our careers website).
Partner might not reply if they don’t see a need to (eg if follow up was a “thanks” and required no action) or if they got busy and forgot or haven’t gotten to it yet. Don’t catastrophize this.
Most follow up emails will never get a response. Too busy to respond to every interviewees thank you notes. Keep sending them tho - the partner will see it and appreciate the gesture
Yes, also: - thanks for the time for interviewing me
+ you’re welcome, thanks for coming in
- of course, my pleasure.. thanks for the thank you note...
+ thanks again, pleasure was mine.::
Lateral here. My interviews with leadership were not , let’s do a case... they were more: how are you thinking about the problem x in the industry? What would you do to solve it?
Of my 7 interviews only 3 had “real” cases
Helpful! When asked how’d you think through a problem in “the industry”, they were referring to your current industry, correct?
....ultimately thinks this convo will hurt her chances at getting an actual interview. She regrets trying to get into the “back-log” early & wishes she waited to reach out to folks until fully “case-ready”. MBB🐠, thoughts? Is she right? Is there typically a back-log for lateral hires (1-3YOE), or can the process be expedited if someone really likes you?
Btw, consideration sometimes is longer than a few weeks, can get into the few month territory, especially from non target schools
What was the “fun question” lol
