McKinsey feels more "global" to me. We are always leveraging expertise from other geographies, what I didn't see that much during my time at Accenture.
Mc1 I’ve had a very different experience at ACN. Had an issue with a new technology few months ago and had leads from France and Japan on conference calls trying to help. Also have talked to people in Italy before when I had a client with an Italian subsidiary asking about how local laws are dealt with in the system we were putting in.
IMO there aren’t going to be a ton of situations where you need to go beyond your OU or your region but if you need to, they’re available. Accenture has the biggest workforce of any consulting company worldwide so IMO their global network is just fine.
Acn1 as you pointed out "there aren't going to be a ton of situations where you need to go beyond your OU…", and that was my point, this things are more common at McK in part because we have a much smaller headcount compared to Accenture.
I was not saying it does not happen at Acn, I was just saying that at McK is more common, and I definitely didn't say it is a good thing 😉
Accenture is only public company. IMO this is most evident in how they spend their money and internal company culture, for better and for worse. But stock price and growth is king at ACN
Just left a big 4 and came back to ACN. Better culture, pay, higher level of consulting talent and inclusion isn’t just marketing at ACN. Unless you’re a partner a the big 4 it’s isn’t as good as ACN. McK isn’t a big 4 so not sure if those above comments are relevant.
