Looking to get my second bike. Presently on a 250cc without a lot of horses. Debating something like an R3/Ninja 650. But also low key considering a S1kRR/CBR1000RR.
Are the later basically asking for trouble?

What style of riding do you do? Ex:touring, adventure riding, racing around with friends etc., that would be the deciding factor. I always recommend sport touring or adventure touring because of the versatility of the bikes.

Started on a 250 on a 650 now and don’t crave more cc’s. Maybe consider a zx6r if you want a slight upgrade to the 650.

Most people on a 1000 cc sport bike are asking for trouble. For what you want to do you can get middleweight bikes with 70-100 HP that will still be fun.

I use an Indian scout as my second bike. Not lot of mods just a mini ape bar and fishtail exhausts. Love it to ride around the town. My primary bike is a tourer (Electra glide ultra limited).
