During the inspection, really take a hard look at the fundamentals of the house--foundation, roof, windows, etc.
We bought our first house a few years ago and it's been a nightmare. It's a TH built in 1983 and we've spent about 10 years worth of our home repairs budget in the first 2.5 years. Water issues that led to us having the lower level of the back of the house replaced down to the studs, water issues due to a leaking window that resulted in a half bath having to get gutted down to the studs, electrical issues, and so on.
Yeah it’s stressing me out majorly...
