OP is there a chance you are a ghost
I know it sounds really bad but I may also be one of those people who might not reply back. Please understand people are going through plethora of s-h-*-t in their lives and yes we've tried sharing it with people around but that never works so when we don't say back good morning don't be angry rather be a little empathetic and let it go, next time skip us.
Sometimes I've replied with a morning coz I can't lie to myself what's " good" about it, not being negative, it's just real life.
Oh my goodness now I’m getting reported😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 childish
Grow up dude
Holy title gore Batman
Quit yapping
😂😭👍🏽👍🏽
Ever wondered maybe it’s not them maybe it’s you. If multiple people ignore you then maybe no one wants to talk to you. Reflect on that
Dude it’s my first month here wth are you talking about
You say good morning and your coworkers just ignore you..?
I once had a boss who walked through the halls asking "how's it going?" and kept walking without waiting for a response. One day, I decided to respond with "Not so good today, boss". Rather than stop and ask what the problem was, he kept on walking.
People in this field really lack that skill, it’s odd.
Same!
What does choosing this career have to do with saying good morning?
What does choosing accounting for a career have to do with common courtesy? Choosing accounting has nothing to do with that.
Reading comments like this makes me glad I don’t work at a Big 4 firm.
You may be surprised that it's the same in industry. Big 4 and small firm personnel are there so no running away from it. Sigh.
I stopped saying/responding good morning a long time ago. i usually respond with "It's to early to tell if its a good morning" and we laugh
Like your reply. Mine is usually, "Not sure yet."
This industry is beyond overworked especially at the Big 4. If you want a friendlier culture, I’d suggest moving to a mid-to-small size firm.
The associate is talking about being overworked, get real 😭😭😭😭😭
Sometimes, they may not have heard you. Always assume the more innocent explanation, even if you know you're gaslighting yourself.

I know what u mean .. I just assume everyone is scared to talk and that’s how I rationalize it
“You’ll talk when ur ready lil buddy”
Is normally my thought when someone just pretends to not hear me
My BOSS - a Partner - used to do this. I would walk in, say good morning to the row of desks and everyone would respond except him. As more people entered, he did the same. I've never seen anything like it.
This was not a fun quirk where he was otherwise a nice person. It rarely is.
It is so easy to observe these basic manners. If someone is not doing the bare minimum, it's safe to assume you're dealing with a terrible human being.

Blows my mind people can just live like this
Welcome to Corporate America! You need to adapt. I can tell you are judging it from your home country perspective. In America, all man for himself government and God for we all.
But how do we say it if we don’t have a stutter
lol
That’s how it is. No time for good mornings, there are workpapers to be done.
don’t worry, you’ll learn soon
Rising Star
Oh please bro
We all see you on ur phone
Don’t pretend you don’t have one third of a second to shoot out “morning” in response
You had time to post this comment ur not fooling anyone
Rising Star
Yea generally
Ok well I'm glad you are usually having them
The prob just have a hard day
Rising Star
Ur literally making excuses for them lol
I get what u mean.. yea those times people are having bad days is excusable
But consistently pretending to “not hear” people is just flat out obvious
Nobody believes you didn’t hear me say good morning let’s be honest
Good morning
I have long hair, and usually work with earbuds in listening to music when I'm in the office, which you can't see when my hair is down over my ears, so I'm likely not going to hear you. My desk in the office is also set up so I am not directly facing the cubicle opening, so depending which direction you approach, I may not even see you right away (especially if I am concentrating on something).
wow...reading comprehension isn't your forte, is it?
Unless you're obnoxiously loud, I can't hear you, not because of my hair, but because I have earbuds in - which you can't see because of my hair.
And the cubicles in my office are designed so the most comfortable place to put your computer has your back to the cubicle opening. Since I don't want to have the ever loving crap scared out of me every time someone comes to my cube, I position my computer more to one side, so can at least see the cube opening out of the corner of my eye. But with the high cubicle walls on each side, and the half wall only on the front, it's much less likely that I'll see you if you approach my cube from the side opposite my computer (so still mostly from behind me), than if you approach from the same side my computer is on....especially if I'm concentrating on work and focused on the computer screen, or if I'm apso wearing earbuds and can't hear you.
I also tend to dread office days - I don't get nearly as much done as I do at home, because people are so chatty in the office. thankfully, we're only in the office twice a week, tops.
