Anyone else find so many things are just exponentially harder right now? Say you have a project or idea you’ve been told to pursue. There’s pushback EVERYWHERE. Those who work for me. Those whose inputs are necessary to execute project/idea. Everyone is DONE. And I get it but also don’t. It pushes me closer & closer to quitting, new job or no new job. One can only fight battles on so many fronts. FWIW, I work in a “matrix” organization, which I’ve come to believe means “getting nothing done.”

I am thinking of leaving my stable full time job for a contract position (ongoing with no time frame) for a bigger raise (making an exra $20/hour) with a large tech company. I'll still get benefits through Aquent so it's not a huge loss. It just feels risky in terms of being a contractor and the potential for it to end at anytime. Seems like a good opportunity though to get my foot in the door and potentially apply for full time jobs later on

Has anyone received anything less than a supportive response from your boss when announcing your resignation? My manager was visibly displeased and I’m afraid I have burned some bridge even though I felt I went about my resignation in the right way. Unlike everyone else I talked with, they did not offer their congratulations nor tell me that I had a place at the firm if I ever wanted to come return. Is there anything else I can do to make sure I leave on the right foot with them?

For anyone that completed their Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) certification. How did you prep for the exam? What resources helped you? What steps did you take to complete it? How was the exam? I’m planning on getting mine this month. I’m a bit confused after reading the guide/handbook yesterday.

Sister in law had four tubs of Costco powdered formula already for her ten month old. Today she sent three aunts to the only Costco in our area that still had any and had them each buy the two tubs you are allowed. So now she’s sitting on TEN tubs of formula… there’s no way her ten month old will even need it all. Should I say something to her? Like “hey people like you are the ones driving a bunch of this shortage?” I’m pretty pissed off even though she “offered to share” if I need any

How do you deal with your sleep problems? I keep seeing weird dreams, or waking up at the middle of the night and I am so f* tired of this. I haven’t had a proper sleep in forever…
