Hi I'll not be able to answer your query but I just wanted to know how we can apply for a job overseas and get interview ? Visa is needed for that or we can apply post getting job ?
Any update?
I know you posted this 2 years ago but would love to hear if you made it to the Netherlands and the salary percentage. I’m about to be in a similar situation and the salary changes is really messing me up. Every person I’ve spoken to from the US has told me to just do it and it evens out and that they wouldn’t return to the US for any amount of money…. But when I look at prices for rent, groceries etc it doesn’t seem to even out?
I did! The salary difference is pretty big if you compare $ to €, but I agree that it typically balances out. It also depends if you are going to be coming in as a highly skilled migrant, which helps on taxes and overall salary minimums if paired with applying to the 30% ruling. Ultimately the first 6 months were a money pit for my partner and I who moved together both as highly skilled migrants in a smaller dutch city, but eventually it has balanced out and we have been able to save and spend on trips around Europe.
These three links were helpful to me when I first moved, also happy to answer any other questions over DM if you need more specific advice
