I know I will protect myself, and I already constantly clean, but my k-3 babies will not wear a mask. I usually get a really bad cold at beginning of school year because of new germs. Trying to have faith but my recent cycle netted 16 eggs, 8 fertilized and only 2 made it to day 5 for testing. There were 3 others that just didn’t mature. Going back to in-person learning has been quite a challenge. We have 4 in-person and 8 virtual. The 4 in-person have done as well as to be expected, however their behaviors have been less than desired. One is being considered for going back to virtual due to behaviors. It's next to impossible to expect them to keep masks on and when they do, they're usually nasty or wet. I have PPEs but things do happen in the spur of the moment and it's hard to stop and put on gloves and such.

A paraprofessional's job is more than waiting for instruction from a teacher for activities for the students. It's common sense. What would you do for them if they were yours?

I'm done getting paid 1/3 of the class teacher pay and expected to teach the lessons. The other Paras in the class seem to think this is normal. I certainly don't get the same respect as the teacher. Am I alone here?

I am not sure I can continue to work in a system that refuses to let go of people who continue not to do their job. Kids deserve better.
