For people that have switched business units, how does it work? Like if you're a senior in audit, would you start at staff or senior staff in tax? And do they ever change your salary based on it?

This job is a lot better if you don't care about the bonus and hours requirement. I can pretty easily bill 1700 hours annually and my firm so far hasn't cared in the slightest. Worrying about hitting 2000 hours for the bonus used stress me out so much, and I just don't think it's worth it. Base salaries are ridiculous and way more than enough to finance my lifestyle.
