McKinsey & Company Have a case interview for an associate role in the Ops practice at McKinsey. Will cases still be generic or Ops focused? If so, any specific case industry / types I should gain more business sense on? Comfortable around general application of conceptual frameworks, but don’t have too much pure Ops work experience.

Don't ask don't get. Always negotiate.
Yup. And if they retract your offer after asking, it wasn't the job for you!!
External. For some extra context, the new role is a step up in responsibility, but I also had a look at benefits and things like health insurance, 401k etc. are better quality and also cheaper at my current firm. I would want the pay bump to account for both of those.
Always negotiate. I moved roles about a year and a half ago from another BB. My salary was initially quoted $10k lower, I asked for more and was given what I asked after a day's turnaround.
What if it was internal?
They won't retract a job offer because you ask for more. That literally has never happened in the history of the world.
Internal Or external offer?
