Ask yourself a few questions:
How much time off do you have? What is your baseline in these areas? Can you use this time to meaningfully upskill rather than just exploring a new subject without actually being able to apply any skills at the end of your break?
Given that you’re considering learning Tableau as a new skill, I’m assuming you are not already a data scientist. From that baseline, are you realistically going to learn how to deploy and implement ML models in a few weeks, on your own? (No)
Do you actually want to be a data scientist or data engineer? If so, a free certification over a few weeks is not going to be sufficient. If you *are* interested really in this, I encourage you to go for it, but I don’t think this is what you’re saying.
However, you could absolutely deep dive into Tableau / Power BI over a few weeks, practice with some free example data sets, and come out of your break with a real, actionable skill set at the end.
Do certs mean anything on the data viz/analytics side? The aws certs are meant for, "I know the platform". The data viz guys at my former firm got tableau certs just bc we were a partner
I would say ML on cloud
