Got transitioned out at my company, for not “clicking” quickly enough with some types of ppl (generally got no problem with it). So why even hire introverts if you expect them to be extrovert anyways?

What, if anything, makes you think that an introvert vs extrovert conflict is the core problem here? If two people are both extroverted (or both introverted), that doesn't guarantee that they click with each other, and having a ton extroverts together doesn't mean there's culture fit. Any firm over 100 people likely has a range of introverts and extroverts that are successful, so there must be more to the story.

I had a client throw away my deliverables, got me fired from the client site, my company knew what happened and didn’t do anything. They offered me Siberia (New Jersey) to keep my job flying from west coast. Totally screwed I quit. Next client loves me. 3 clients ago I had a micro manager. Barely survived him watching my every move. That’s just how this job goes. Instead of dealing with one toxic environment we accelerate it and deal with many. This remote work makes it less toxic, but it’s still there. Sometimes our own team is the problem. My advice learn to let it go. Just figure 25% of your accounts will be shit and when they happen say oh this is part of the 25% and move on.

Good morning everyone, I’m a young associate and I changed practice areas from PI to family law. I’m about a year in but work is getting slow and the clients are starting to really bother me. My coworkers are constantly worried about stats and it’s hard for me to get that mentorship/practical advice with my cases. I’m worried I’m burning out and that this practice area isn’t the best fit. Any advice or do I have to push through? (Contd)

What are people's thoughts on LES near the East Broadway station? Especially safety wise?

Would be taking the subway to union square every day.

I know there's some projects nearby and I've heard that station can get a bit seedy. Born and raised in SF so I'm used to homelessness but are there a lot around there? Been attacked a few times in SF recently so something I'm concerned about.

Someone help me not resent my firm. I am starting as a first year associate soon and I am already resentful of how my class has been treated. We were told everything was fine until July when our start date was pushed until January. I just graduated and had only saved to live until September so I’ve had to pick up part time jobs to make ends meet. The worst part is my Husband quit his job for us to move for my job and I’m still not even working. They could have told us earlier.

I left consulting a few months ago but I’m realizing that I was burned out from all the stress. I took time off prior to starting my new role (a month). However, ive realized that starting a new job has made me less motivated rather than motivated. Does anyone have any tips for getting back to your old self? It’s been so hard the past couple of years 😑 wondering if I’m the only one feeling this way.
