What's average comp for an SA3 or first year manager at Deloitte? Thinking of making the jump, but realize it may be better to come in as a senior associate b/c it is harder to get staffed as Manager.
Anyone move from Deloitte to KPMG (or visa versa)? Any strong feelings on wether it was a good move or a bad move? I have an offer from KPMG for significantly more money (I’m pretty underpaid at D) but don’t hate the Deloitte culture or my job. Just won’t get anywhere near the comp KPMG offered to pay me. (I doubt they’ll even counter for the full amount if I tell them) Thanks for the input.
After a year in public accounting, I’m thinking this ain’t it for me. When we were in the office and on site at clients it was amazing, but I have been doing all my audit work from home since March and feel like I haven’t learned anything, and every day is miserable. I have one CPA exam section left and I honestly just want to collect my $5k bonus and bail. Do you think they would try to recollect that money if I were to do that? Things could change, but I’m looking at this possibility.
Would you switch if you were me? I am Currently at Accenture Strategy (L9), second year consultant. Just received an offer for senior consultant at Oliver wyman, but compensation is the same (no sign on bonus). Wondering if making the switch is worth it. Pros: I think would have the opportunity to work on more interesting projects, as well as get 100% of my MBA financed. Cons: I have a feeling I am being low balled and there is risk involved on making a switch

How valuable are the salary insights that recruiters can provide? I’m just starting to apply to consulting and startup roles. I could easily apply to some of them myself, but I don’t have a good feel for the pay because these are new/smaller companies.
I asked for a raise at my small agency, it’s my first in two years. I’ve been offered a salary bump that’s less than 10k and barely takes me into the low end of a senior AD salary range. I am going to counter but need two pieces of advice: 1. What is a good source to find / support the average salary range of a senior AD 2. What is too big of a counter? I’d like to be at 90. But if I counter with 90 I assume they will come back with less than that.
Can anyone please advise on Sullivan & Worcester? Is it comparable to Big Law in terms of salary/quality of work and quality of life?

Just got engaged 😊😊. Need some advice. We both have two homes already. 1. Is it always better to get a third home ? 2. If yes, is better to rent out or sell the other two homes? Both homes mortgages are $1250 & $1450 and 1500 sqft & 2200 sqft respectively. Both homes are 3 bedrooms. 3. If we are getting a third home what price range is recommended? We are based in Houston and HHI is going to be $380,000(including bonus & rsu) & $300,000 base. We are 27F & 30 M and no kids yet.
Significant other is active duty marine corps and while I have 10 years of experience, having a tough time “making the right moves” to climb the ranks in consulting due to needing to (or at least needing to be available to) relocate every few years. Anyone willing to chat? Looking to get into MBB if possible. Prior big 4 exp and worked across human capital, tech, and some S&O. Super hard working and quick learner. Are you guys aware of any United status upgrade promotion challenge for Deloitte employees? Moving from gold to platinum or platinum to 1K if you fly ...miles in next 3 months.
Thirty different businesses in the UK are trialing the 4 day work week (32 hours) for 6 months, same pay and benefits just less work. It’s time for this shift to happen on a massive scale, lets push hard on this and we can all be enjoying 3 day weekends sooner than later everyone! Plenty of studies already show this is a win-win for employees and companies in terms of employee happiness and productivity
How much time do EY take to reach out after technical discussion. I had my interview today at 12 pm. Will HR reach back for some updates in few days or will they take their time?
Are the roles at firms like Interbrand and Lippincot analogous to Big 4? I.e. is a director at KPMG or Senior Manager at EY a director/SM at Interbrand? Looking to apply and would appreciate insight.

Intl 🐠 What do you plan to do with your 401k? I'm Canadian, planning to eventually move back to Canada. Do I wait until I'm 60 to withdraw? Is traditional better than Roth 401k in this case?
boutique vs. big 4 vs. MBB? Pros and cons.
Currently in FSO, working on a pretty big client and the partner on this engagement is a very “big deal”, a lot of people are scared of him. If I want to change to commercial audit do you think my current team and partner would give me a hard time? How do teams view a staff that wants to change team after one busy season ? I’ve been with the firm/team for only a few months.
Why are the Big 4 considered to be the best places to work and best consulting firms? Other than prestige and brand I don’t understand why they’re consistently rated and regarded so highly
24M found the girl of my dreams (goals faith mindset motivation are all aligned) we want to get married keep things halal do the nikkah but her parents saying it’ll look bad because her older sister isn’t married, they just moved to America recently and haven’t gotten financially stable, and that she’s still in school (starting 3rd year). Any advice on what skills are needed to make your resume standout for a conflicts or legal analyst role? I was a practice assistant/legal secretary for 2.5 years and worked a lot with opening new client accounts and consequentially conflicts.
Is it a bad look as a senior associate (on the path to manager within a year) to be driving an expensive car like a C7 or C8 corvette that is $70k+? I don’t think it is and here’s my rationale. I’m making over 6 figures, maxing out my 401k and IRA accounts with extra $ going to a brokerage account, I have a 3BR 1300 sq foot home with finished basement and garage for $170k. My two loans are only $240k combined. Heck most people spend more on a house alone. Work remote so vette isn’t daily driver.
Hi All! I have my virtual on-site case interviews for an Associate position in BizOps. Found some good prep videos and used a case prep book to get the hang of casing again. Any advice prior to my on-sites this week? Really nervous and want to move to the next round
How do you divide your time between your kids? My second is an extra needy and demanding, high spirited kid. My first is laidback and easy going. I always feel like the eldest gets the short end of the stick and never gets enough of my attention even tho she’s always been more attached to me than my husband. She never gets one-on-one time with me as it is since her sister (now 2) is still super glued to my side. Any suggestions for juggling this? Or to ease the mom guilt?
Has anyone been extremely close to quitting their job during Covid to only back out at the last minute? I’m definitely feeling burnout from being cooped up inside all day.
You ever feel like you're just failing to excel in consulting? Today and yesterday have been really hard to tap into any discipline to push past whatever brain fog/lack of motivation is preventing me from making progress on this project. I don't know if I'm just tapped out or not cut out for this type of intensity, but I'm 1.5 yrs into consulting after working in industry and this seems to happen too often. I just don't feel like I'm as good as my peers and don't know that I can get there.
