What investment shops are hiring in Austin?
Anyone from EYP…I’m applying to “Strategy & Transactions Working Capital Consultant/Senior”. I have the experience, six sigma, PMP etc stated in the description. How can I proactively position myself to earn the interview? I’m afraid I might get auto rejected because I have way more than 2 years experience, but I know industry experience is weighted different. Appreciate any help, insight, or anyone willing to chat. I think they're just good to see how people react and respond to things and then whether they'll fit into the team or not.
That seems like such an odd set up for an interview lo.. I mean, don't get me wrong it sounds fun. However, I don't know how they would even score that.
I agree it does! I’m not a fan!

Oh that’s an interesting approach. I guess they can observe your interactions.
Of course but people fake it till they make it sometimes!

Never heard of that kind of interview. But anything goes these days I guess… maybe they are looking for someone who is a team player? Or maybe trying to see if they can weed out those who don’t do well under stressful environments? Who knows…
There quite common around my area!
I've only had one ever and absolutely hated it. It was for a bank teller position that I already had 5 years of experience for. They did not tell me it would be a group interview. I'm already very nervous and can be shy during interviews. It was a long time ago, at least 5-10 years but I remember they had us sit it in a circle and asked the same question. I was of course the last one and it was nerve-wracking to come up with something not already said. They didn't do any games (except mess with my head it felt like lol) I applied maybe two more times out of desperation over the years, and I don't even get an interview. I think it was about picking the most outgoing of the bunch, I have anxiety, so it wasn't me. I am outgoing once I am in a role, with coworkers and customers alike, not placed in a roomful of 20 people all competing for the same job. Never again.

I get that—group assessments often end up favoring the outgoing ones. Quiet but capable people can get overlooked, which doesn’t always feel fair.

Definitely favors louder personalities, just by way of the set up. They’re more likely to remember someone who is boisterous. I guess it would take someone with a keen sense of discernment to decipher all details of the interview and pinpoint ideal/not so ideal characteristics in each person
