she responded a day later - today - and thanked me for my email. Then she said 'Good luck.' Good luck?! What does that mean? She has a huge influence on whether or not I'm picked for this role. I feel like that's a bad sign. Thoughts?

I know I'm probably overthinking it, but seriously, why should I need a luck if she liked me? She seemed to really like me in the interview. people don't say good luck unless they think you're lacking in something

You’re over thinking it. Don’t stress yourself out! I interviewed and was told the same thing by everyone in response to my thank you notes I sent out. Even the “Partner” who was the final decision maker said the same thing lol. I got the offer. They’re just being cautious but you should be good. I always think of it as a good sign if they respond back!

When I was managing consulting projects, I told my teams that they should feel free to communicate with me if they had any issues or concerns. However, I also wanted their ideas about what they would do to solve the issue they are raising.

Situations can get "extreme," or small issues may arise when you are in the heat of the moment trying to accomplish your goals. That's normal.

But to change the pattern and prevent Burnout, you need to communicate with an action.

Additional Posts in Consulting Exit Opportunities

Currently a big 4 consultant and got an offer from FAANG for a strategy and ops role that would bring my total comp up 60%. I’m really grateful for the offer and really excited, however, I am also interviewing with MBB. It has always been a goal of mine to work for tier 1 strategy firm as I’ve always felt on the outside looking in at big4. I feel like most exit ops from strategy would be S&O industry roles but still can’t get these MBB firms out of my mind. Am I just overthinking this?
