Not uncommon for people to mistake us for something completely unrelated. I have a great story, but can't tell it without giving away too much.
Let's just say that a professor at the local university sent a student to a certain department of the university, but instead she came to our store, which has a name that resembles that department (if you squint hard and forget your glasses ;) ). We told her that we didn't do what she needed. She left, went back to the professor, and then came back. "He told me you were the people that I had to see". She called the professor, and said "I'm at (retail store) and they say they don't do that". No, he says, I told you to go to (department)
She did not find it nearly as funny as we did (after she left)

That’s hilarious. poor student must’ve been so confused 😅
Haha, yes! Sometimes you just have to sit back and let them vent—trying to interrupt only makes it worse. The silence after is the best part! 😅

Been there! I once got yelled at about electric bills, I work in HR. Sometimes it’s best to just let the performance end. That’s such a “customer service bingo” moment. I’ve definitely sat through a few TED rants too. Ever have one that actually apologized after?

Oh my gosh, electric bills?! That’s next-level misplaced frustration 😂 Totally agreesometimes you just gotta let the TED talk happen and survive it. And no, still waiting on my unicorn apology, maybe one day!
