A friend of mine has started have a glass of fizzy water with ice and a shot of apple cider vinegar (with the mother) and a ginger shot.
I poo poohed it when they first started this but then I tried it. And. Actually it’s very good!!!! (My social media feed also started to shared posts on this, suggesting ACV Ginger fizzy water on the rocks as an alternative to a glass of wine in the evenings!!)
Highly recommend.
I'm assuming you're talking about soda, right? If so, could you try to replace it with a somewhat healthier version that still scratches the itch for sugar and carbonation, like a cup of pineapple juice with some sparkling water added to it?
Love this recommendation! Will try it out.
I am a beverage person so I can totally relate. Diet does get a bad wrap, and a lot of the versions are something different entirely. I would say to try some of the zero products, dr. pepper and coke are honestly some of my favorites, and much different then the diet ones. Also seltzer and sparkling water are good too, gives me the fizz and flavor, but not the extra sugar.
For whatever reason, I never considered sparkling water! I should try that.
Try and make more fruit juices at home and stock them in the fridge! It really helped me. Eventually, the kind of sweetness from fruits sufficed for me and now soft drinks just feel like a whole lotta sugar.
I do have a sweet tooth but not when it comes to drink. I have my coffee in the morning and then I drink water throughout the day. I might have a Dr. Peppper once a week but not more than that. I have never been a huge soda or sugary drink person.
how about Kombucha? it's really nice and doesn't have too much sugar. LaCroix is great as well.
