Now my standard util is 40 and my adjusted is 105... and this project last in another month... by then my standard util might be 20.. will my promotion be affected by this? What would you do?
My company contracts a web developer, we have a set amount of hours for the quarter and pay over if more work is needed.
He never gets anything done. Doesn’t answer emails half the time. The one thing he’s done was take out a blurb that threatened our eligibility for patent renewal.
We have another company taking over in January, but I still have some pretty important dev needs until then and I can’t get him to do a thing. I truly try to give him all he needs.

I am getting only 7.5lpa inspite of getting "Strategic Impact" which is the highest reward category. I was supposed to get a skip level promotion which the HR had rejected for some reason. Utilization may be my least favorite thing about Deloitte. It makes life challenging if you're stringing together a bunch of short-term, yet interesting, projects.

I’m very excited about the role but didn’t realize I’d need to take a pay cut when I applied (~100k base + ~20k bonus + ~60k equity vs. 90k base + 10-20k bonus). Considering that I currently work 40-60 hours/week, I’ll be making significantly less per hour at the MBB. At KPMG, was going to go up for M last year but it would have been a tad early (only 2.5 years at senior) so I decided to push it back to this year. This year, after talking about my business case since last summer, I was now just told I won’t even be given the opportunity to go up for M at all, with very weak reasoning.
