Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

I understand that times are challenging, and I empathize with your difficulties because I find myself in a similar situation. Here are a couple of suggestions based on my experience.
1. Consider relocating to an area with a lower cost of living where your skills are in demand.
2. Perhaps it’s worth being patient for now and investing what you can in options that offer reasonable returns based on your risk tolerance.
In the grand scheme of things, I believe this difficult phase won’t last excessively long.
At face value, they both seem like okay suggestions, but...
With 1, one of the biggest issues right now is that outside of areas with a significantly high cost of living (particularly w.r.t. property) there is VERY low demand for a lot of jobs because companies aren't working out of those areas. Presumably I may have more flexibility there than most because I work for a company that is remote friendly. That is, by and large, the exception not the rule.
With 2, isn't that just essentially telling OP to "pray it out"? Bold strategy Cotton... it may work for overcoming the current interest rate mountains, but I don't see that the fundamentally growing unaffordability of property will resolve itself until we stop treating it like an investment commodity. Fundamentally it breaks affordability if we're going for growth well beyond the initial investment.
