Has anyone been able to leverage their experience as a Salesforce Dev and CS degree into a full stack engineering role? At the moment it looks like despite 5 yoe as a SF dev, in order to pivot I only qualify for entry level roles.

Considering going into Finance Technology roles within big4. I have have >3 years background from deloitte doing Tax Technology. Can anyone speak to these finance technology role &/or give referral?

How many years of experience do you need to be considered post-MBA role at MBB? Additionally, is it common to see people come in as an experienced hire without an MBA?

I have a business idea in the VR/AR space utilizing AI. However, I lack skill sets to evaluate viability or to create an MVP. Neither do I have a network to tap into.

My plan is taking classes to deepen my knowledge while joining and actively participating in communities to find collaborators.

Does this approach make sense or do you recommend other approaches? If it makes sense, do you have any recommendations for classes or communities?

Currently a paralegal at a small start up financial services company been there for just a little over a year. I wear “multiple hats” but more recently I’ve done a lot of PM work and some BA work. I am a self learned ux designer and working independently for my clients. Even though clients are happy with my work i feel they don't understand design much and i always feel there is a gap in my learning as there is no one to critique my work in design perspective. My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer. Do I take the high salary and stay in claims or go for UW in hopes it will be best in long run?

Is IB worth the sacrifice of WLB? Obvious pay is really good but are the prestige and pay worth it if you’re planning on only doing it for a couple years?

Saw my therapist this past Friday and he gave me a useful trick to build better behavior patterns. Whenever you have work to do but would rather nap or something, tell yourself 3 negative effects of the nap and 3 positive effects of doing the work. You might still take the nap, but if you can get in the habit of thinking of it negatively, you'll take less naps when you need to be doing other things.

Doesn't matter what the activities are. Could be working out vs eating more, could be socializing IRL vs wasting time in FB (lol)
