Has anyone ever considered jumping into independent consulting/freelancing? What's attractive to you about the notion of shifting into that domain?

What challenges/obstacles stand in the way of you making this jump?

I was put in to SAP when I joined my firm. I got SAP FI certified (associate), but have not done any configuring or implementation work at all (gov't consulting). I'm functional, and do use SAP (cont)

Hi fishes, I got 5+ years of work ex of which 2 years was in domain non IT job. While joining Accenture I was offered level 11 (As SAP functional CONSULTANT) while I believe I should be at level 10. What can I do? Is it that just your IT work ex they consider? Suggest things I could do. Completed 8 months in Accenture now as SAP Functional consultant.

Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?

Mid level Electrical Engineer in the greater Baltimore, MD area making $115k base w/ $20k sign on bonus. No yearly bonus. I started this job in April of this year. 2-3 years experience. When I onboarded they told me to expect promotion to EE III in about a year. Performance reviews coming at the end of the this year and I’m wondering 1) if my salary is on par with what I should expect 2) how to approach conversations about raises and promotion with my supervisor. I'm working in CITi project since 17 months, premapped ro project so, not a single I was in bench til now. In this January they retained me with 70% hike :).

What all benefits I can get from LTi in next 6 months or so ?

Anyone know what kind of experience or certifications I should be aiming to get if I'm trying to break into a pentest role? I just graduated last year and have about a year of sysadmin experience and am trying to get into it asap. So, I'm already applying/job hunting and probably won't get much replies but. Genuine question - why do people slide into DMs on here? Why would you spend time trying to get to know someone when there’s like a 1% chance you’re in the same geographical area and would have mutual interest in each other? Is it not better to spend your time on tinder or bumble to find people that are guaranteed to be nearby if you’re bored?
